Event Description:
This February, Baruch College Archives & Special Collections is hosting a two-part Black History Month Wikipedia Edit-A-Thon, geared toward undergraduates but open to all students and faculty.
The series will take place during club hours on Thursdays February 19 from 12:40–2:20 in the William & Anita Newman Library Room 320. Across two hands-on sessions, participants will explore digitized materials and contribute to documenting Black history at Baruch, across CUNY, and in New York City.
Part I introduces Wikipedia editing and archival research, and Part II focuses on collaborative editing with support from library staff and CUNY’s Wikimedian-in-Residence. Participants are encouraged to attend both sessions.
